The plain-language agreement for using LAM Companion.

Short version: it's a personal record-keeping tool, not a medical service. Your care is always between you and your healthcare team.

In plain terms: LAM Companion helps you keep track of your own health information. It doesn't give medical advice, it can't replace your healthcare team, and reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee. The app is provided "as is," and it's free.

1. Who we are

The LAM Companion iOS app and this website (lamcompanion.com) are made and published by ANMLVR LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). LAM Companion is the app's name; ANMLVR LLC is the small company behind it. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ANMLVR LLC governing your use of the app and the site. By downloading, installing, or using LAM Companion, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What LAM Companion is, and what it isn't

LAM Companion is a personal record-keeping and reminder tool. It is not a medical device, it was not developed by medical professionals, and it does not provide medical or professional advice. Nothing in the app or on this site is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.

  • Information in the app is entered by you and is not reviewed or validated by us for accuracy.
  • Reminders are a convenience only. They depend on your device's settings, notification permissions, and power, and must not be relied upon as the sole method of managing medication or care.
  • Always follow your healthcare team's instructions, and consult a qualified medical professional with any question or concern about your health. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your own care and for the information you put into the app. You agree to use the app only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes, to keep your device and the app reasonably up to date, and to verify any information before relying on it. You are also responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important to you — the app's CSV export exists for exactly that (see the Privacy Policy for how your data is stored on your device).

4. Tips

LAM Companion is free, with every feature included. The optional tip jar is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system as one-time purchases. All transactions are processed by Apple under Apple's terms; pricing, billing, receipts, and any refund requests are handled by Apple. Tips do not unlock features and are not subscriptions.

5. Intellectual property

LAM Companion, its name, lamb mark, design, and content are owned by ANMLVR LLC and protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store's standard licensed-application terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.

6. No warranty

The app and website are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory — including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ANMLVR LLC and its owners, members, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss, injury, or other harm, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the app — including any missed, late, duplicated, or incorrect dose log, reminder, record, export, or notification, or any reliance on information in the app. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ANMLVR LLC and its owners and members from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the app or your violation of these Terms.

9. Changes to the app or these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the app will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Oregon, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
