Your health is nobody's business but yours.

LAM Companion was built so it stays that way. Here is exactly what that means, in plain language.

In plain terms: LAM Companion stores everything on your phone. There are no servers, no accounts, and no analytics, and we never collect, transmit, or sell your information. The App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected," and it's accurate.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers the LAM Companion iOS app and this website, lamcompanion.com, made and published by ANMLVR LLC ("we," "us"). By using the app or the site you agree to the practices described here.

2. What we collect

Nothing. LAM Companion does not collect, transmit, or store your data on any server. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising network, no telemetry, and no tracking of any kind. We have no way to see anything you enter, down to your name.

3. Where your data lives

Everything you enter is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device database: medications, doses, trough levels, lab results, symptom check-ins, pneumothorax and effusion events, lung function results, oxygen readings, walk tests, kidney (AML) measurements, appointments, care team contacts, and your emergency card. As the app itself puts it: "All data is stored on this device only. Nothing is ever sent anywhere." It leaves your phone only when you choose to share it:

  • CSV exports are generated on your device when you tap Export and go only where you send them, through Apple's standard share sheet.
  • Doctor-ready PDF reports work the same way: built on the phone, shared only by you.
  • The emergency card can be shown or shared from your phone. It contains only what you put into it, so share it deliberately.

4. Your phone's own backup

Like most iPhone apps, LAM Companion's records are included when your phone makes its standard device backup (to iCloud or to a computer), under Apple's own privacy protections. If you set up a new phone from that backup, your records come along with it. This is your phone backing itself up. Nothing is sent to us.

5. In-app iCloud backup, a future option

The current version of LAM Companion has no in-app cloud backup: your data is on your device only. A future update may add an optional iCloud backup that keeps a copy of your records in your own private iCloud, so a lost or replaced phone can restore everything. If and when it arrives:

  • It will be off by default. Nothing is backed up unless you turn it on.
  • Your records would go only to your iCloud account, stored and encrypted by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, never to any server we operate. We still couldn't see your data, and the privacy label would remain "Data Not Collected."
  • We'll update this page in plain language before that option ships.

6. No account, no internet required

There is no sign-up, login, or user account. The app works fully offline; no internet connection is ever required for any feature.

7. Tips

The optional tip jar is handled by Apple's In-App Purchase system. Those transactions are processed entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; the app receives only an anonymous confirmation that a tip was made. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple ID.

8. Notifications

If you turn on medication, check-in, or appointment reminders, they are scheduled by iOS on your device. They are generated and delivered entirely on-device. No reminder data is sent to us or anyone else.

9. This website

lamcompanion.com is a static informational site. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no analytics that identify you. Our hosting provider may keep standard, anonymized server logs (such as IP address and page requested) for security and reliability, as is typical for any website; we do not use these to identify or profile visitors.

10. Children's privacy

LAM Companion collects no data from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected or transmitted, the app cannot knowingly or unknowingly gather personal information from any user.

11. Your control

Your data is yours. You can export all of it as a CSV file at any time, and Clear All Data in Settings permanently removes everything from the app. Deleting the app removes its on-device data from your phone. Because we hold nothing, there is no account to close and no server-side copy to request or erase.

12. Changes to this policy

If how LAM Companion handles data ever changes (for example, when the optional iCloud backup described above arrives), we'll update this page and its date, and explain the change in plain language before it takes effect.
